Adapting Evidence-Based, Trauma-Focused Therapies to Meet the Needs of Trafficking Survivors

Breakout Session
Southeast Christian Church La Grange Campus Breakout Room C

Helping mental health professionals more effectively provide trauma-focused, culturally-attuned therapy to survivors of human trafficking is critical to bolstering survivors’ resilience and overall well-being. Informed by both research and clinical experience, this interactive workshop will focus on adapting popular evidence-based trauma therapies to suit the unique needs of trafficking survivors, and will also introduce emerging clinical interventions specifically designed and tested for this use with these clients.
