Engaging in anti-human trafficking work is daunting and draining. Some of the trauma is unavoidable, but we can create organizations that encourage healing and thriving by creating structures for success in our organizations. Trauma informed organization have policies and procedures that protect both the organization and the staff; they consider how to invest in their Lived Experience Experts; they are integrous in how they publicly discuss the issue of human trafficking; and they are led by humble leaders.
