Survivors of human trafficking have experienced trauma, and as they take steps to move forward with their lives, the impacts of trauma can interfere. Brain research has been beneficial in identifying those impacts and providing additional supports to assist practitioners who work with those who have experienced trauma. This presentation will explore some of that research and identify practical strategies to assist practitioners in their work with survivors.
Objectives from presentation:

2) explore principles of trauma informed care,
3) identify techniques that can be of benefit to assist those with trauma
