Case management for residential programs looks very different from outpatient case management. Case managers may have fewer clients with more complex cases, and be assisting clients with managing several different providers at once. Oftentimes case managers at residential care programs are more involved with their clients' cases, acting as liaisons and advocates. This presentation will give an overview of trauma-informed, survivor-centered case management in a residential program setting, from intake to discharge.
The objectives of this session include:
1) Being a trauma-informed liasion - "Do it for them, do it with them, watch them do it" model
2) Communicating effectively with community partners
3) Effectively managing multiple complex cases simultaneously
